From the first time I heard the music these guys make, whether together as the King Khan and BBQ Show, or in any of their other many incarnations ( King Khan & The Shrines , Mark Sultan's unbelievably good solo album The Sultanic Verses , and so on,), I was in love. The nexus of garage rock, punk, and doo-wop could not be farther up my alley. In a world of electro-this and that, and sad-faced boys and girls singing sweetly, Blacksnake (King Khan's... real name?) and Mark Sultan bring a refreshing dose of

It's safe to say that Mark "BBQ" Sultan is one of the most talented and underrated singer-songwriters working today. Maybe this is because he's performed under so many different aliases over the years: Needles, Bridge Mixture, Kib Husk, Creepy, Celeb Prenup, Blortz, Noammnn Rummnyunn, and BBQ. Sultan earned his stripes in the 90s and early 2000s with two of the best garage-rock bands to come out of Canada: The Spaceshits and Les Sexareenos.  

The Association of Prince Fahd bin Sultan Social Program will carry out a series of charitable projects, including the construction of 100 housing units for the poor in Tabuk province to mark the recovery of Crown Prince Sultan from his disease. Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd bin Sultan said Prince Sultan, who is currently convalescing in the Moroccan city of Agadir, would return to Saudi Arabia shortly. He said the new housing units would be established in Bidae and Qolaiba.
